What it does
Pixel Screenshots is a Google app on recent Pixel phones that gathers your screenshots in one place. If you turn on its AI processing, it saves and processes the details in each screenshot so you can search for them later and find information you captured. It runs when you take a screenshot or open the app.
If you disable it
The Screenshots library and its search stop; screenshots are still saved with your photos.
How to disable it
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Pixel Screenshots > Disable.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.apps.pixel.agentTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.apps.pixel.agentThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.pixel.agentRestore after an uninstall
