Print Spooler
Android's print framework that shows the print preview screen and queues jobs for print services.
Android (AOSP) package
Android's built-in print service that prints to many Wi-Fi printers without a printer maker's plugin. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
Default Print Service is Android's built-in printing plugin. It finds printers on your Wi-Fi network that support standard network printing protocols and sends documents and photos to them, so many printers work without the printer maker's own app. It runs only while you print.
Also shown as Built-in Print Service.
Printing to printers that rely on the built-in service stops; printers with their own installed plugin still work.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.android.bipsTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.android.bipsThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.bipsRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.android.bipsNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
