com.android.providers.partnerbookmarks
A provider that lets phone makers and carriers preload bookmarks for the web browser.
Android (AOSP) package
A compatibility stub that answers old apps asking for the retired Android browser bookmark list. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
Bookmark Provider is a placeholder that stands in for the bookmarks database the old built-in Android browser used to offer. Older apps that still query that database get an empty answer instead of an error, which keeps them from crashing. It holds no bookmarks and does nothing else.
Nothing you will notice; a few very old apps that query browser bookmarks may crash.
On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.android.bookmarkproviderTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.android.bookmarkproviderThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.bookmarkproviderRestore after an uninstall
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.android.bookmarkproviderNew to ADB? Set it up in about ten minutes.
Nothing beyond the app's own settings; it holds no bookmarks.
