What it does

This Knox component collects information about how Knox security features are used on the phone and uploads it to Samsung. Samsung ships it on Galaxy devices as part of the Knox platform, and its name in Samsung's own application lists matches its job. It runs in the background on a schedule. No consumer feature is known to need it.

If you disable it

Nothing you will notice on a personal phone. A company that manages its phones through Knox may lose some usage reports.

How to disable it

On most phones Settings greys out Disable for this package, so ADB is the way to turn it off. The commands below work without root and can be undone.

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.samsung.android.knox.analytics.uploader

adb shell pm enable com.samsung.android.knox.analytics.uploader

The stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.

adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.knox.analytics.uploader

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.knox.analytics.uploader
