What it does
Moto Widget puts a clock on the home screen with quick access to alarms, the calendar and the weather, in styles such as Clean, Classic, Beyond and Adapt. Moto phones come with the Clean style already placed on the home screen. It refreshes the weather in the background while a widget is on screen.
If you disable it
The Moto clock and weather widget disappears from the home screen. Other clock and weather widgets still work.
How to disable it
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Moto Widget > Disable.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.motorola.timeweatherwidgetTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.motorola.timeweatherwidgetThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.motorola.timeweatherwidgetRestore after an uninstall

Data and battery
Uses your location, if you allow it, to fetch local weather.
