Google's Pixel voice recorder that transcribes and labels recordings as you make them. It is safe to disable: you lose nothing most people will miss.
What it does
Recorder is Google's audio recording app on Pixels. It records meetings, lectures and voice notes, transcribes speech as you record, labels speakers and can summarize recordings on supported models. You can save, edit and share recordings, and back them up to the web if you choose.

If you disable it
The Recorder app disappears; recordings already saved stay in its storage until you turn it back on.
How to disable it
Settings offers Disable for this package on most phones. Open Settings > Apps > See all apps > Recorder > Disable.
Disable it (reversible)
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.apps.recorderTurn it back on
adb shell pm enable com.google.android.apps.recorderThe stronger option removes it for your user only; the original copy stays on the phone and a factory reset brings it back. Prefer disabling: it is easier to undo.
Uninstall for the main user
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.recorderRestore after an uninstall

Data and battery
